What Is X-PAC?
X-PAC is a next-generation technical fabric built from layered laminates: a rugged face fabric, an X-grid for tear-resistance, and a waterproof film.
It’s strong, structured, and built for the wild — perfect for Trakke’s limited-edition drop.
X-PAC X50 – Maximum Toughness
X50 takes the classic X-PAC build and adds a 500D Cordura face, making it the most rugged material in this drop. It’s built for real abuse—scrapes, sharp edges, rough stone, winter travel—without adding unnecessary bulk.
For explorers, guides, and anyone who wants a pack that will probably outlive them.
X-PAC X11 – Natural Performance
X11 blends technical performance with a natural look and feel. Its cotton duck outer face ages beautifully, developing character and soft patina over time — similar to waxed cotton, but lighter and more weather-resistant.
Perfect for everyday carry, short hikes, and customers who love Trakke’s classic charm with a technical boost.
X-PAC VX21 – The All-Rounder
VX21 is one of the most popular X-PAC fabrics in the world. It’s asweet spotof weight, strength, and weatherproof capability. Built with a 210D nylon face and a PET waterproof film, it’s tough without feeling overbuilt.
Ideal for bikepacking, fast-and-light commutes, and anyone who wants performance without compromise.
New Limited Arrival: Navy Bannochs
Crafted from Halley Stevenson P400, this limited run of Navy Bannochs blends heritage fabric with everyday toughness. P400 is a densely woven, water-resistant cotton with a smooth matte finish and a clean, elevated look.
Expect a soft handfeel, classic texture, and a deep navy tone that wears in beautifully over time. A small batch — once they’re gone, they’re gone.
FAQs
Is X-PAC waterproof?
X-PAC laminates are highly water-resistant thanks to their PET film layer. While not submersible, they easily handle heavy rain and British weather.
How does X-PAC compare to waxed canvas?
Waxed canvas has a warm, classic feel that patinas over time.
X-PAC is lighter, stiffer, and more weatherproof. It won’t develop a patina —except X11, which has a cotton face that ages beautifully.
Will X-PAC fade or wear over time?
X-PAC is designed to resist fading, stretching, and fraying. X11 is the only variant that changes visibly with use due to its cotton face.
Which X-PAC fabric should I choose?
- X11: Natural look, most heritage feel
- VX21: Best all-rounder, everyday + adventure
- X50: Maximum durability for harsh conditions
Is X-PAC noisy or crinkly?
VX21 and X50 can feel slightly stiffer than canvas, especially when new. X11 has the softest feel. All soften with use.
