Adventure Everywere

Our Story

Trakke never had a plan.

Our story starts at art school and the restless frustration of being stuck
behind a computer for hours. We yearned to make things, with our hands — crafting beautiful objects designed for realities of modern life using traditional skills.  Products that delight, have purpose and built to last.

The philosophy is simple: Adventure Everywhere.  Adventure isn’t about being pitted against nature. Not everyone desires 8,000m summits.
Adventure is being curious, forever learning and seeing the world from
new perspectives.  Adventure is how you choose to experience what the world has to offer, from city streets to mountain paths.

We’re inspired by good design and the gear of the legendary explorers and adventurers like Shackleton, Amundsen, Earheart, Gwen Moffat, Dervla Murphy and Joss Naylor — gear you trust: durable, dependable, built to take a lifetime of knocks. Great design is invisible. The better something is designed, the less you see the designers hand.

We came into our own in 2019 making gear for lives that move between the city life, travel and time in nature.

And in 2025, that commitment grew stronger when we joined the Alpkit family. With production now shared between a small team in Glasgow and Alpkit’s factory on the edge of the Peak District, it’s two heads — and two sets of skilled hands — better than one. Together we’re improving efficiency, investing in craft, and keeping more making local. You’ll now find Trakke alongside Alpkit in stores across the UK.

Our designs are classic in form, with a modern take for today’s standards — thoughtful detailing, laptop sleeves, ‘just right’ pockets, meticulous finishing — so they work invisibly with you - a companion for life.

Simplicity is our design compass. Simple products are more versatile, more durable, and last longer. There’s less to go wrong, and that matters as we build things to last.

But simple never means basic. Our fuse world-class fabrics with timeless craft to create gear that quietly excels.

Our biggest goal is to champion local manufacturing — to keep skills alive, inspire others to make here in the UK, and encourage a new generation to discover the joy of design and making.

We’re not into gimmicks or marketing fluff. A bag is a bag — we just make beautiful ones that work. No frills. No nonsense. Just the essentials, done exceptionally well.

Because in the end, we believe in our products because we believe in, and care deeply about, the people who carry them.
